Meet Kerry Griffiths LL.B (Hons), Legal Assistant
I gained a Law degree in 2006 after studying as a mature student for six years. During this time I also worked full time, qualified as a Police Station Defence Representative, qualified as a member of the Mental Health Tribunal and was a mother to three growing sons.
My legal career began in the busy Criminal Department of Terry Jones Solicitors. I became interested in Mental Health Law eventually moving to and heading that department. As with criminal defence work although the work was incredibly fast paced and emotionally demanding, it was satisfying especially when you made a positive difference to your client’s sometimes sad and chaotic circumstances.
When the opportunity to join McKenzie Law came along in January 2013 I jumped at the chance to do something completely different. I enjoy meeting the firm’s clients, who are calmer than those I was used to!
Although I joined in a general support role, as the firm has grown my position has developed and I now work as a dedicated legal assistant to the busy private client team. I help them with Wills, Lasting powers of Attorney and Probate. Apart from when I am in need of a holiday, I love it!
