Legal Manager
A Shropshire girl born and bred; I have 17 years of experience working locally in private legal practice.
Acting for many older and often vulnerable clients, being patient and understanding is a vital element of providing my clients with the best service. Family circumstances are often complex and my advice to clients is always tailored to their circumstances and explained in a way which is easy for everyone to understand.

Getting to know clients and helping them through difficult stages in life is a day-to-day part of my job and something I particularly enjoy. No two clients or families are ever the same, which makes for an interesting job and one where the learning never stops. Often drawing on past experiences and knowledge gathered, I pride myself in carrying out all work to the highest professional standard – my colleagues would almost certainly describe me as a bit of a control freak!
I began my legal career in 2005 working with John Garrard. I had the benefit of an excellent training as John shared with me his knowledge, wisdom and expertise from many years of legal practice.

Following John’s retirement, I moved to Wace Morgan Solicitors where I spent 5 years and learnt a lot from being part of a larger firm. I gained considerable experience acting for a range of clients and dealing with many varied matters including complex Probate cases, many involving farms and businesses. Then in July 2013 an exciting opportunity arose for me to become part of McKenzie Law.
Almost 10 years on I feel very proud of what we have achieved at McKenzie Law and most importantly, the expert advice that we provide to our clients.

I am an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and am continuing to progress my legal qualifications.

Away from the office my husband, daughter and I all share a love of the great outdoors and holidays. We will regularly be found walking in the Shropshire hills or exploring the mountain ranges of Snowdonia, when we can escape from our 1950s home renovation project!
