Chartered Legal Executive
I joined McKenzie Law in August 2018, having relocated from Cardiff to Shrewsbury to be closer to my family. I have found Shrewsbury to be a warm and welcoming town and I have enjoyed becoming part of the Salopian community.

When I decided to move to Shrewsbury, McKenzie Law was the first firm I contacted and the one I was most keen to work for. The team here are exactly as advertised; friendly, approachable and extremely knowledgeable. Working for a small legal practice brings opportunities to make a mark that one doesn’t encounter in a large city practice, and I greatly value the resulting job satisfaction. Our work is sensitive and personal, and so it is essential that we earn the confidence and trust of our clients. I am a ‘people person’ and take great pleasure in building these relationships.

I originally read anthropology and sociology at the University of Durham. When I graduated in 2005 I worked in music licensing and copyright until discovering the law in 2012 and embarking on my new career. After some interesting roles in the areas of conveyancing and family law, in January 2014 I joined a residential conveyancing team at a well-established practice in Cardiff.
As my legal studies progressed, I developed an interest in wills, trusts and probate work and decided that this was the area in which I would like to specialise.

The busy city practice in Cardiff had a diverse client base and was a great place to gain wide experience in will writing, estate administration, lasting power of attorney and Court of Protection matters. Alongside this work I was able to continue with some select residential conveyancing for my private clients, and I continue with this balanced workload at ML.

I qualified as a lawyer in June 2022, becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. I thoroughly enjoy my work and feel very lucky to have such a fascinating job!

In my spare time when I am not being a busy aunty to my young niece and nephew, I am a trustee for two small charities, and enjoy live music and gothic fiction.
