Meetings
How do I arrange an appointment?
Please either call us or use our online form. Usually, one of the team will then speak with you on the telephone to broadly understand your enquiry and to take some brief details. Once we know that we can help, we will then schedule either an initial online or face-to-face consultation.
Online consultations – how do they work?
Online consultations use either Zoom or Microsoft Teams. We send you an invitation containing a link prior to the arranged meeting time. They enable you to have a brief initial meeting from the comfort of your own home, and put a face to a name. Initial online meetings for new clients are usually offered without charge for up to 30 minutes, subject to other time we may have already spent helping you prior to the initial consultation.
Preparation for your appointment.
During an initial telephone call we will usually talk about the information we need from you to consider and progress your enquiry. We may then ask you to complete an information questionnaire, or send us copy documents. The time we may spend without charge is usually limited to a maximum of 1 hour to include initial discussions, reviewing documents or information to prepare for an initial consultation and then having the initial consultation.
What happens after my appointment?
After an initial consultaion you should feel confident to ask us to help with your legal work. We will understand your requirements and be able to estimate our fees. We will send your our Client Agreement setting everything out clearly, and you will be asked to sign this agreement and make a payment on account of fees. You will then become a client and we will be able to give you legal advice and help you.
